Tile Installation
We install large-format porcelain tile with tight, level grout lines over properly prepared, well-sloped substrates. For balconies and outdoor areas, we use open-joint, no-grout drainage systems with freeze-thaw resistant pavers — the same approach we used on a Metrotown balcony in Burnaby, where the new surface drains freely and handles winter freeze-thaw cycles without cracking. From a Vancouver tub-to-shower conversion finished in large-format porcelain to full bathroom floors, every tile job starts with a flat, stable base, because the finish is only as good as what’s underneath.
Waterproofing
A shower is only as good as its waterproofing. We build wet areas with proven systems — DensShield tile backer, RedGard waterproofing membrane, and Schluter-Kerdi — selected for each project’s conditions. On a Surrey shower rebuild, we stripped the failed surround back to the studs and rebuilt it as a fully waterproofed assembly, so the new shower stays dry behind the tile for years to come. The same care goes into our tub-to-shower conversions, like a recent Vancouver project, and senior-friendly rebuilds, like a Langley conversion with grab bars and a low-threshold shower entry — waterproofed properly from the start, so they hold up in daily use.
